So its been a busy couple of weeks my first grandchild Mr TEDDY had to go back to hospital and has finally came home again. He's doing much better now growing tall like his dad and slim like is mum., We've been camping with the dogs, fighting with the supervisor, packing packing packing, booked flooring, found a tiler and booked leave for December and well not much else really.
The builders have given us an inspection date. 28th of November is the PC inspection and we should have our keys around 7 business days after that so I guess we should be in by 15th of December as planned initially.
The house has come a long way, but I keep forgetting to take photo's, now that they have finally locked all the doors I can't get any. I have a few that have not been posted and I'll load them up tonight but you'll have to wait until PCI for any updates I know that they have been in to clean yesterday it took them all day and I guess they will be doing their inspection this week.
I am patiently waiting for the installation of my splashback. It's the one thing that has been stressing me out, I'm not sure if it will tie the kitchen together or rip it apart. RED was the colour of choice, well my choice anyway so this one will all be on me if it sux.
Wow - Darren gave me a call yesterday and finally the splashback had been installed. OMG I absolutely love it. Cant tell you how many nights sleep I had lost trying to picture it all together and finally its done....
The Kitchen - Yipee
The Media room - hope they have work to do on the stain finish here??
The view out the back
The front
Not that much left to do now - They need to paint the piers, I am certain they have only done one coat on the skirting so hopefully the supervisor will pick that up himself, fix the brickwork (still not giving me any peace over this one which is extremely disappointing as its been over 4 weeks since I told them I was unhappy) I hope it does not become a battle to spoil the process but I guess it will be. The builder at some point does an inspection and allegedly picks up issues and we are booked for our PC inspection on 28th of November. I would know more if our site supervisor had any communication skills. I read about how good some are and honestly ours has issues. He is helpful enough when you ring him but provides the bare minimum of information and always makes me feel like I should not have rung him because he is too busy. It;s funny, if he rang me I wouldn't need to ring him.....Anyway its almost finished now so I guess there can only be one battle to come....COMPLETION
