29.7.2013 - Joy oh Joy the down side of building is coming home to a bill for $55,899.05. I guess that is the end of my $70 dollar mortgage payments. No more Ebay for me till Feb next year....Someone top up my paypal account for me
1.8.2013 - So excited that things change every day. I know that you guys don't see it but I definitely do. The great mound of dirt has been moved and termite barrier installed yesterday and today the frame arrived. Jade and I were so excited when we noticed they had drawn out all the rooms on the slab we had to do some "closer inspection" to make sure it was right. This required just a little bit of "break and enter" with a touch of "trespass" via the neighbors house to get into the break in the fence. The photo below shows Jade jumping up on the end of my kitchen bench, hope she does not think that will be OK for long....
2.8.2013 - The end of a busy week for our builders. Received a call from David the building supervisor to let me know that they started the frame today. Jade and I did the drive by on the way to UNI this morning and 3 rooms were already up, by the time we came home all the walls were up. Thank god the rooms now feel a bit bigger than they did yesterday. Jade is making big plans for Darren when we move in, someone needs to let her know that the money tree has not been planted yet.
