Week 2

22.7.2013 - My What a busy week, Piers done today. 8.7 Additional meters of peering required so just another Variation on the way. Met with James the slab supervisor who walked us around the site and explained the process from here. Expecting slab to be poured on Friday this week and frame due for delivery 1.8.2013. I love this part, looks like there will be visible changes every day this week. Yippee

25.7.2013 - There has been movement every day this week. All formed up, foam delivered, and by today its all formed up ready to go. Couple of quick picks below to keep you updated

And of  course lunch in Parramatta with my beautiful daughter....First Vietnamese meal for her, loved by us both defiantly the coolest meal ever.

26.7.2013 - Hip Hip Hooray, its slab day today. Its amazing and exciting to see changes every day onsite. Such a shame that does not continue for the whole build. Have some photo's to upload but not sure how to get them from my phone to the blog. Will work on that tonight.

So I decided after seeing how foggy it was that I would go on the way to work and just see if there was any activity on the block...7.30am and you could not move in the street, I couldn't even park for all the concrete trucks so I had to do a 500 point turn or back out of the street. A quick pic of the trucks and off to work....Back at 4.30 and they have already removed the formwork, smoothed it all off and watered it down (perhaps it might grow) so I guess its official, a slab by the end of July

  

  

I forgot to add, at 4.45pm I got an SMS "we have today poured the slab on your site". No shit Sherlock, glad you didn't pour it on someone else's site...
