So a quick trip to Brisbane has set me all adrift, literally actually. We spent a couple of great days with my sister followed up by a Mercedes Benz driving academy day. I had an absolute ball in both the skid pan and the obstacle course, also got to drive a semi trailer and a MB V8. A quick hot lap in the AMG and it was all too quickly time to go home. Thanks to the MB academy team, wish you all good luck in your upcoming races.
Back home today and there is good and bad news on the building front. Looks like the tiling is finished, the electrician has been back and pulled all the wiring through and the splashback appears to have been measured up. There does not appear to be any movement on the drive (apparently what was being done this week).
There is also no movement with my brick issue, 4 rows at the top of the garage pillar are wonky, 2 bricks are laid back to front on the front of the house, one of our window sills has a hump and we have the worst mortar joints I have ever seen. I'll give Dave till lunchtime tomorrow to call me back and let me know what they will be doing to rectify the brick issues. Its been 2 weeks now since I reported my issues and I would have liked an answer before this. Its quite disappointing after such great service during the process.
Allegedly they will start painting on Monday, hopefully there won't be too long till completion.
